Toronto, September 27, 2017 – Givenchy Beauty just released their latest men’s fragrance and it’s called Gentleman ($107/100ml bottle). The house draws inspiration from the original 1970s fragrance, with a contemporary twist asking – “What does it mean to be a 21st century gentleman?”
To celebrate the launch, Givenchy together with SHARP Magazine, hosted a private dinner in Toronto’s historic Distillery District. The French ambiance and cuisine at Cluny Bistro made for an inspired backdrop complete with a five-course meal with LVMH/Givenchy brass, fashion industry insiders, and VIPs.
The new fragrance can be described as sweet, yet powerful and delicate, yet bold. It’s a uniquely raw, masculine scent faceted with a noble, elegant flower. Givenchy describes it as a woody floral fougère with hints of pear, iris, lavender, leather, and patchouli. I describe it as the cologne I’ll be wearing for the next while.
English actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars in the Gentleman Givenchy campaign. The actor is also a talented singer and dancer with the latter on full display in the campaign video. You may recognize him from the movie Kick-ass, Albert Nobbs, Savages, Anna Karenina, and Nocturnal Animals. He’s won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in 2017 and was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role as well.
Gentleman Givenchy can be found anywhere luxury fragrances are sold.
