Toronto, June 23, 2017 – Hamilton Watch has just become the official timekeeper of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship and to celebrate, they’ve released a special edition watch. The Khaki Air Race is available in a Team Hamilton model with orange and black dial and special case back printing and an Official Timekeeper model with blue and grey dial with a red second hand honouring Red Bull Air Race colour. Both versions have a stainless steel case in either 38 or 42mm size, with a choice of black leather strap or stainless steel bracelet.
Aviation isn’t exactly new to Hamilton. The brand has been timing the skies since 1919, when pioneering pilots of the era put their trust in the precision of its watches and navigation instruments. In addition to keeping the first American airmail service on track, Hamilton became the official watch of TWA, Eastern, United and Northwest airlines in the 1930s. Today, many squadrons use Hamilton watches as standard equipment, including South Korea’s 121st fighter squadron, the Patrulla Aspa from Spain, the Patrol Squadron Forty from the USA, and the Apache and F-16 demo team from the Netherlands.
