Toronto, September 15, 2015 – Last Friday night, the Canadian film industry came together for a celebration of the role of producers in film, television and digital production. The Producers Ball is an annual gala during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) shared with international and Hollywood peers to celebrate the success of the media industry. Held at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and created by Jonathan and Drew Scott of Property Brothers fame, last week’s ball was a star-studded gala that included appearances from Cameron Bailey, Pamela Anderson, Tatiana Maslany, Paul Sorvino, and Patrick J Adams.
Proceeds from the silent auction provide essential support of TIFF’s industry and filmmaker development programmes across four key areas: Community Outreach & Education, Film History & Preservation, Experimentation, and Filmmaker Discovery & Development. TIFF’s home, the TIFF Bell Lightbox provides the setting for most of their work – all of which is only possible with the support of donors, members and sponsors.
