Best of Sao Paulo Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015

Sao Paulo, April 10, 2014 – Brazil opened celebrations with the 37th Sao Paulo Fashion Week for Spring Summer 2015. Lilly Sarti SS15 was one of the strongest collections, inspired by the Year of the Horse pieces interspersed silhouettes with details reminiscent of the Wild West. Colcci SS15 made headlines with Brazilian top model Gisele Bündchen opening the show with a collection that featured a brilliant twist between technical and artisanal. Triton SS15 followed suit with Christian Ronaldo’s girlfriend Irina Shayk walking the runway. Gloria Celho SS15 enveloped her silhouettes in black tulle for a graphic result mixed with contrasting colours.

For Ronaldo Fraga SS15, graphic patterns are also the visual focus of the collection. Brazilian artist Candido Portinari work is seen throughout the collection in prints or bordered with fringes. Black dominates Vitorino Campos SS15 in luminous shades creating a summer collection constructed around ultralight material in simple shapes. Delicacy rules in Paula Raia SS15, monopolized by plays with transparency and layers across rustic fabrics in beautiful floor skimming dresses. Giuliana Romanno SS15 was all about mesh and rattan effects bring a breath of fresh air to a very feminine collection. Graphic accessories emphasize the youthful modern vibe of this debut collection. Pat Pat’s SS15 appeals to a jet set crowd and provide much to covet with key metallic leather pieces. Animale SS15 celebrates one of the big trends of the season – perforated and hemstitched materials. Lace, leather, latex and embroidery are layered for a collage effect. Alexadre Herchcovitch SS15 who also shows in New York, advocates a style stamped with 1950s elegance.
