Toronto, September 26, 2013 – Even if you’re not an avid subscriber of one of a handful of men’s glossies out there, you may still find yourself caving in when it comes to the $15-$20 semiannuals. And why not? Six months of fashion and lifestyle goodies packed into one thick bookazine – perfect. Enter Canada’s Sharp: The Book For Men, an essential lifestyle compendium for those men that either have, or aspire to having more money than they know what to do with.
The Sharp: The Book for Men Fall/Winter 2013 is all about contemporary luxury. Unabashed, over-the-top, $3,000 umbrella luxury. It lays out the absolute best in travel, watches, fashion, boats, booze and automobiles. Included is also Sharp’s life-saving Manual, packed with manly knowledge, and their 30-page Style Manual loaded with Canadian inspired style advice. A tad bit conservative banker chic, but that’s to be expected. This is Canada.
The invitational Sharp Book For Men Launch Party is by far one of the most sought-after event tickets of the year. The guest list is tight and the organizers do an excellent job curating a list of Toronto’s most fashionable. For the record, no I can’t get you in, sorry.
Canadian men brought their A game last night, decked in everything from stylish designer suits to fine cashmere bespoke creations. The Sharp team went all out hosting tequila, gin, vodka, beer, and Scotch bars, a mini trade show with men’s suits, watches, footwear and accessories, a delicious Italian self-serve food station, barber shop, and even a shoe shine kiosk. Crazy! It was like a circus for the sartorially inclined held at the five-star The Ritz Carlton Toronto. This was no doubt their biggest and best party yet.
