Toronto, April 11, 2013 – Fashion brand agency SlavinRaphael has launched the first Tiger of Sweden flagship store in Toronto. Having opened their doors to the public last month, the team threw an opening party at the Ossington boutique for media and friends last night.
Established in 1903, Tiger of Sweden has evolved with international fashion demand. In 1993, the line was redefined to reflect ‘A Different Cut,’ the brand philosophy that focuses on modern design and perfect fit. The brand’s vision of ‘taking the suit out of the bank and into the street,’ is echoed in sophisticated yet versatile, well-tailored garments crafted from top-quality materials with a different, clean cut.
“Internationally, Scandinavian fashion is receiving well-deserved recognition for its distinct aesthetic, attractive cuts and cool factor,” said David Thunmarker, CEO of Tiger of Sweden. “As a brand, we’re thrilled about the opportunity to present our collections in a discerning and fashion-forward market such as Toronto.”
Under the direction of CEO David Thunmarker, the Tiger of Sweden collections are currently available in more than 18 countries, including Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, the United Kingdom and South Africa. Fans of the brand include Henrik Lundqvist (New York Rangers), The Hives and Axwell (Swedish House Mafia). International acclaim, including a 2013 ELLE Sweden Style Award nomination for Best Designer, has secured Tiger of Sweden’s position as a fashion-forward, high quality brand.
“Tiger of Sweden is a natural fit for the Queen West neighbourhood,” said Steven Slavin, president of SlavinRaphael. “We’re looking forward to showcasing the slim-cut suiting, high quality fabrics and clean Scandinavian design in our store.”
The 3,600 sq. ft Toronto flagship store carries the men’s and women’s Tiger of Sweden and Tiger of Sweden / Jeans collections, as well as footwear and accessories. Located at 56 Ossington Avenue, their hours of operation are Monday to Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday to Friday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more event photos, please visit the It’s All Style To Me Facebook Page.
