London, September 17, 2012 – For Acne Studios Spring/Summer 2013 Women’s Collection, Creative Director Jonny Johansson wanted to be honest in showing the process of the way they work. The Acne process defined by music, collage and new are three elements that have resulted in a clash of romantic silhouettes, jockey outfits and street style for SS13. Acne always surprises us not only by the contemporary Scandinavian fashion they produce, but also by their interpretation of fabric and texture. They’ve gone with a mix of natural crushed linens, cottons, washed silks and leathers contrasting with nylons, woven stripes and technical double duchesse. They’ve stuck to a modest palette for SS13 made up of whites and naturals with strong pops of colour that they pulled from jockey uniforms. Another source of inspiration was Emmylou Harris’ cover of the song Wrecking Ball. That probably explains the moulded Stetsons.
