New York, September 12, 2012 – Can textiles be dyed without water? The answer apparently, is yes. Costello Tagliapietra Spring/Summer 2013 consisted of beautifully draped and pin tucked frocks with their signature artistic prints that are transferred onto fabric using the eco-friendly AirDye technique. From a mayan blue solar print halter dresses to two-toned solar static print boilersuit, the label’s sensual SS13 collection was dedicated to love and colour. Unsure what they meant about the ‘love’ part, but colour was everywhere.
Just as nice, the bear hugging duo also offered beautiful pieces sans prints. There is a clear uniqueness and bold femininity to the brand that keeps people jamming MILK studios season after season to see more. It’s a formula that works for these burley boys of NY fashion and we’re always eager to see more.
