Toronto, September 3, 2012 – The name sounds more Italian than Spanish and the fashion looks more Ralph Lauren than Zara. Massimo Dutti announced its arrival to North America with a new Canadian concept store located on the third floor of the Toronto Eaton Centre. Open to the public as of Thursday, August 30, 2012, Massimo Dutti is already available in 53 markets at 584 points of sale. There are many fans of the label thrilled to see it here in Toronto.
While Massimo Dutti is owned and operated by the Inditex Group, the same corporation that owns Zara – don’t expect Zara prices. This is higher-end, quality, heritage fashion, with an equestrian twist. The Massimo Dutti stores themselves exude a sense of luxury and are specially designed to enhance the customer experience. Toronto is no exception. The nearly 5,000-square-foot Toronto shop showcases the brand’s urban-chic collections in a warm atmosphere, designed to feature the brand’s high quality and accessible, contemporary detailing. The store layout features pure, cutting-edge lines, reflecting the contemporary twist that characterizes the brand. The innovative design, where décor is key, positions the brand within an environment that speaks to the brand’s elegance and origins. The stores feature strategically placed lighting and furniture, all developed and designed in-house by the Massimo Dutti interior design team.
The Toronto location offers both the men’s and women’s collections. The collections determine the environment and style of different areas within the store, which are distinct yet cohesive. In both the men’s and women’s departments, the collections are divided into two lines: casual and formal. The display of the casual line exudes a fresh and youthful atmosphere, while in the formal line the environment is intimate and warm.
Massimo Dutti men’s collections appeal to the urban, contemporary man between the ages of 25 and 60. Since its beginnings, the Massimo Dutti man has had a unique personality that translates through the collections, using high quality materials and interesting combinations of textures and styles.
Massimo Dutti women’s collections speak to the urban, sophisticated yet effortless woman between the ages of 25 and 45. Based on an in-house creation concept, the Massimo Dutti woman is a city dweller, practical, elegant and contemporary who believes in her style and knows what she wants. The Massimo Dutti woman aims for a style that is personal, while adding touches of fashion trends set on international catwalks.
