London, June 18, 2012 – The inspiration for Patrick Grant’s latest collection for E. Tautz comes from the British explorer Sir Wilfred Thesiger and his adventures through Africa and the Middle East. School Colours for Cricket channels African influences to tell the story of a British man who is influenced by his travels.
Not quite as overt as the African-inspired Louis Vuitton SS12 that Kim Jones put out – colours are bold with hot pink and saffron yellows borrowed from the colours of African priests’ robes. Make of it what you will, I say that I’m the bald guy with the glasses on those shirts. Happy travels!
