Toronto, May 28, 2012 – Independent Toronto menswear fashion retailer GotStyle threw a customer appreciation party at The Spoke Club this past Saturday. If you were lucky enough to be invited, you would have enjoyed the semi-formal travel-themed event that was filled to capacity. Organized by GotStyle owner Melissa Austria and her Marketing and Event Manager, Charlotte Jenkins – the team did a great job in throwing an excellent party held at a great venue, usually reserved for private club clientele.
Sadly, The Mile High Club party had more to do with airplane travel than aerial airplane escapades. The event was split into three travel experiences with unique sights, sounds and tastes on each floor. The first floor was dedicated to New York City and attendees had a chance to sip on Canadian Club Manhattans while playing Rock Band on a Nintendo Wii. The second floor, subsequently the floor you enter when getting off the elevator, was dedicated to Paris. Spoke’s lounge and library were set up with a Champs-Elysees photo booth, French house music and generous helpings of French pastries and Moet and Hennessy champagne. The best was saved for last as the Spoke rooftop overlooking King Street West was dedicated to Jamaica’s Montego Bay. Attendees flooded the rooftop for fresh air, a clear view of the city and a little bocce ball. Reggae and dancehall featuring Sly and Robbie, Jimmy Cliff and King Tubby were the perfect compliment to Appleton Estate Rum cocktails. Naturally, a healthy selection of well-dressed men all-round with some gorgeous knock-out women thrown in for good measure.
If you get a chance, head across the street from the Thompson Hotel Toronto to 62 Bathurst Street where you’ll find GotStyle. They have plenty of men’s apparel and accessories in stock with great staff to help you out. Maybe then you can get onto their exclusive party list.
