SCHUTZ Footwear Fall/Winter 2012

Toronto, May 15, 2012 – If you haven’t heard of Brazilian footwear designer Alexandre Birman’s diffusion line Schutz, perhaps now is the time to introduce you. Their mission is to offer consumers quality fashionable designs at a reasonable prices. Their latest blended Fall/Winter 2012 & Resort 2013 Collection reflects the spirit of youth calling women to dare, to seek the unique, to challenge the consensus.

Definitely some great footwear from Schutz for next season and their SS12 line doesn’t look too bad either. Hard to believe that every shoe is under $300. Favourites for FW12 include the python treated Elida and Floria heels, their colour-blocked platform pumps and wedges, the glittery Fernandas, the furry Felicias, and of course those wild Fatima jackfruit textured heels (all featured below). Look for their boutiques when on vacation in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. Alternatively, you can also find Schutz at Nordstrom, Intermix, Bloomingdales, Cusp, Anthropologie, and Shopbop. 1. I am a big fan of Brazilian shoes. Great design and quality, and better than the stuff made in China. Brazil has a whole area of the country that is known for its shoe making skills. Descendents of Italians and Germans, so you know the craftsmanship is top notch.
Schutz is great and so is AREZZO, which also part of the Birman family, designed and run by Maythe Birman. Are they available in Canada yet? If not, they should be.
